Three Little Things
Make an Inexpensive, Cute Display
My studios, where I write and paint, became infested with piles of stuff—little piles, big piles, multiple piles.

And horror of horrors, I had artist friends coming over for a painting session.
On top of one of the piles was a sticky note with ideas I’d had to improve some of the storage in the painting studio. Now was the time to both clean and organize.
I am so pleased with one of the solutions I came up with that I wanted to share it with you. It makes a great way to change out artwork quickly, gives me a tidy place to store notes and ideas I’m working on, and is super easy.

You only need two cup hooks, a piece of twine or string, and clothespins. If you don’t have any of these lying around, a quick trip to the nearest dollar store will do, and you’ll be set.
Screw the cup hooks into your wall (easily repairable when you take it down). Tie the length of twine to the cup hooks, and hang your art, notes, whatever, with the clothespins.

I like to see my work and ideas on the go, and I like to keep a tidy studio, so this system works brilliantly for me.
I’m sure there are other options, so please share! How do you keep your work and ideas easily accessible, tidy, and inspiring?
